Dear World:
I am an average American.  I go to work every day.  I don’t live in a mansion.  I don’t have a Mercedes Benz.  I don’t look like Kim Kardashian and I don’t think or talk like the president.  I can also assure you that the vast majority of Americans do not think or talk like the president either.  In fact, we find his comments and behavior deplorable, un-American, racist, crude, vile, vulgar … basically too many adjectives to put down in this post.
What I want you to know is that WE do not support this man’s agenda.  There is a percentage of people in this country who do, and that embarrasses us, however these people are ignorant.  I can’t explain why they feel the way they do other than to say that they are angry.  They’ve been hurt, left behind, ignored, and they feel they need someone to blame.  That blame, thanks to President Trump, is directed at every human being in this country who does not think like, or look like they do.

Trump says what THEY wish they could say and that is why they love him.  A "Joe Blow from the flyover state of wherever" will never be the president because he doesn’t have the resources, the contacts, the billions, the education, the status, etc., et al. to be  president.  Trump IS THEIR JOE BLOW.  The man who speaks for them.  It doesn’t matter that he has no manners.  It doesn’t matter that he has no conscience.  It doesn’t matter that he has no real intellect … he represents them.  PERIOD.  They feel heard.  They feel vindicated.  They feel empowered.  It is unfortunate, but it is what it is.  And it is sad because they are not going to get what they need.  They are not going to get what they hope for.  Because Trump does not care for anyone but himself, least of all a poor working schlub.
And I get it.  People are tired of politicians who lie and cheat.  Politicians who do nothing but make empty promises while they enrich themselves and end up billionaires.  But a man like Donald Trump is not the answer to these problems.  If he completes his four years, I shudder at the thought of where we will be in 2020.
I also want you to understand that we are as shocked as you are that he is still in office.  That the last horrible thing he said has been topped by yet another horrible thing.  We are in a state of wonder as to why the GOP continues to allow him to be a malignancy on the presidency.  This “just let Donald be Donald" business.  NO.  Let’s not let Donald be Donald.  How about that for a change?
So, on behalf of all Americans who are embarrassed and ashamed of this man, I offer you all the sincerest of apologies.  WE are not him.
