You know what this kind of B.S. reminds me of? Like when you tell your kids eighteen thousand times not to leave the front door open because the dog will get out and get hit by a car, and they leave the front door open and the dog runs outside and gets hit by a car and DIES. WHY don't you a-holes just listen THE FIRST TIME?! Why does it take having the dog get run over by a car, or GETTING COVID WHEN YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN WEARING A MASK before you finally admit that YES! The experts KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT! JEEZ! I wish I could slap you upside your fat head you dick wad!

Yeah. Now he's making public service commercials pleading with people to wear a mask. SMH.

So you all know what this is about right? Trump is now on his way out and has immediately become irrelevant. Therefore, Mr. Christie doesn't have to kiss his ass anymore. Now he's got to kiss Joe Biden's ass. This is the good thing about being me. I don't have to kiss ANYONE's ASS EVER! Chris Christie is a lambon (there should be an accent mark over the o. (That's Spanish for kiss ass).

I hope one day we will have public servants who actually serve the public. When you ask them a question they will tell you what THEY really think. Not what they think they should say. I don't think they realize how much the "little people" would respect that.

So ... now the Prez is doing absolutely nothing. Nothing about Covid, nothing about the latest computer hack by the Russians. NOTHING. However, there is something related to the prez that puts a smile on my face and a warms the cockles of my heart. His neighbors in Florida don't want him there. They don't want him living full-time at Mar-a-Lago. And he can't go back to NYC because everyone there thinks he's a dick. And they would be correct about that assessment. Mhmm ... maybe prison is a real option?

As for Jarvanka, apparently they are building a gigantic compound in Florida. This is because the glitterati of NYC don't want them back.

For people like the Trumps who cannot live outside of the spotlight this is a fate worse than death.

The Christian Right and the Election ...

In my last post I stressed that democrats need to make appearances on FOX in order for that audience to see that democrats are not America-hating-pedofile-sex-trafficking-Satanists.  

Let me be clear ... I am talking about CRAZY right wing Christians.  Not NORMAL Christians.  There is a difference.

Now, why is it that they believe God placed Trump in the White House in 2016, and now that Biden has won the presidency it's the end of the world?  Could they ever consider, as "believers", that maybe God removed Trump because of his evil and corrupt ways and placed Biden in the White House because he is a decent and God-fearing man?  NEVER.  Now why is that?  I'll tell you why.  It's because they live in the FOX NEWS bubble and believe everything FOX News says and therefore, everything that Trump says.  And I don't mean to say this in a patronizing way because these people honestly do not know that they have been lied to and manipulated.  They watch FOX with as much devotion as they attend church.  And when they attend church, the pastor reiterates everything said on FOX News.  It's a circle that goes round and round to nowhere until the brain finally atrophies.    

How do you change it?  I'm not sure.  I don't think most of these people would be willing to watch CNN or read the Wall Street Journal or the New York Times out of fear of self-immolating.  Could it be fear of finding out that maybe they have been misled?  I can understand that.  As Gloria Steinem famously said "The truth will set you free, but first it'll piss you off."  To grow as a human being, and even as a spiritual person, one needs to keep evolving, transcending, and as one progresses one leaves behind what no longer serves.  I feel that a lot of these evangelicals are afraid to move beyond what they're safe with.  It is considered sinful to question.  I know all about this.  I was raised Catholic.  And that guilt will make you crazy.  I had a few nuns in catechism that were fucking scary as shit!  But at some point you have to realize that it is really fucking hard to be a human being without trying to be perfect twenty-four/seven.  At some point you have to THINK.  Think about what YOU believe.  Think about what serves YOU.  Think about what causes YOU pain and do away with it.  That includes a restrictive religious belief that keeps trying to pound you into a square hole when YOU'RE A ROUND PEG.  

I know plenty of people like this as I'm sure you do too.  I've attended these church services where they do, in fact, pray for Trump and Pence.  Yet, as a very bad Catholic, I can tell you that I have never heard a priest tell the congregation who to vote for.  Ever.  

THAT IS WHY THE CONSTITUTION IS SPECIFIC ABOUT SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.

The First Amendment

I especially like this part:  ... and all religions are equal in the eyes of the law with no special preference or favoritism.

Know what this means?  It means Muslims, Catholics, Buddhists, Atheists, Mormons, Jews, Hindus, etc., et al. are ALL PROTECTED.  Unfortunately, most evangelicals would find all of the above religious beliefs counterfeit because to them, unless you are "born again," you will spend eternity burning in Hell with Mother Teresa.  

Now here's where I'm going to call myself out.  I am a coward.  I post my blog and send it only to people who I believe will understand where I'm coming from.  Like minded people, if you will.  I would be afraid to make it entirely public because I'm pretty sure the evangelicals would come for me.  I also believe they would not READ and COMPREHEND a post like this with the intention of trying to understand another point of view.  I have posted my opinions before and know for a fact that these folks do not read what I've written because of their responses which completely overlook most of what I've written. And that is frustrating.  

In order to understand, you HAVE TO LISTEN.  And vice-versa.  I would LOVE to have a real, deep conversation with an evangelical because I sincerely want to understand why they have an undying and unyielding allegiance to Trump, without getting scripture thrown at me.  Tell me why you support this man despite his terrible character, his misogyny, his cruelty, his vindictive personality.  But I'll probably never get the opportunity to do so.  Because sadly, most of these people behave as though they went to school with God and know him better than I could ever hope to know him, ergo I am unworthy.  This is called "spiritual pride" and a lot of evangelicals suffer from it.  They are quick to forgive their own, sinners like Trump, but the first to condemn YOU.  So where's the love?  This is my entire point.  WHERE. IS. THE. LOVE.  The answer?  It's lacking.  It's conditional.  And THAT is not being Christian in anyone's book.  But they, of course, cannot see this and will argue and debate to the death that YOU are wrong and they are right.  But that's ok.  Because I KNOW I'M RIGHT.  

FOX NEWS PROPAGANDA ....

I have decided to post clips of FOX News interviews with various right wing pundits and let you all listen to how these folks manipulate, lie, and throw out theories and ideology that is based on NOTHING.  No facts.  No statistics.  This is how they are able to sway their viewers to their extreme points of view and accuse democrats of hating America and calling all of them communists, socialists and Marxists.

According to Candace Owens who has a HIGH SCHOOL degree, she believes that if you are a black American and you go through the public school system like she did, you see that "they" are replacing education with indoctrination and you will come out of that education system as a propagandist for the left and you won't even realize it.  

WOW.  Really Candace?  First, can you tell me who "they" are?  And WHY they are indoctrinating students to become propagandists to the left?  Can you supply me with some statistics to support this?  Some evidence or facts that confirm this cockamamie statement of yours?  I'll wait ...

She also said that Conservatives need to wake up to the fact that we've lost the education battle with the left and what that allows is democrats to have a handle on the school system.  If we continue to LET the democrats control the education system we are guaranteeing them (the democrats) the future.

Candace hon, WHO is letting the democrats control education?  Um ... you do know who Betsy DeVos is don't you?  Trump's Secretary of Education, who wants nothing more than to have the entire United States implement a school system based on Christian principles.  

Her comment that 75% of black boys cannot pass a literacy test is true.  But I am willing to bet that if they went to public school in Beverly Hills they more than likely would have received a much better education.  IT'S ALL ABOUT MONEY CANDACE.  MONEY.  

Now for a little background on Ms. Candace Owens.

In 2007, while a 17-year-old senior in high school in Stamford, CT, Owens said she received three racist death threat voicemail messages, totaling two minutes, that were traced to a car in which the 14-year-old son of then-Mayor, and future governor, Dannel Malloy was present. Joshua Starr, the city's superintendent of schools, listened to the voicemail messages and said that they were "horrendous".  Owens' family sued the Stamford Board of Education in federal court, alleging that the city did not protect her rights, resulting in a $37,500 settlement in January 2008.  

Owens pursued an undergraduate degree in journalism at the University of Rhode Island.  She left after her junior year because of an issue with her student loan.  Mhmmm?  

She has now reinvented herself as a political pundit who knows nothing but talks like she does and has become the darling of the conservative right.

So, as I posted on Facebook:

"WOW ... I guess GOD wanted Biden to win!  😁" 

and IMMEDIATELY I received a bunch of insults and anger which didn't surprise me because I made that comment specifically to stick my finger in the eye of those crazy evangelicals.  ONLY the crazy ones.  And FYI, I deactivated my Facebook page because I got sick of all the hate.  But I just had to jump on because I was SO HAPPY that Biden won and I wanted to share my happiness and it didn't take more than ONE SECOND for a friend of mine to jump on me with comments about China and Iran being happy too!  And though I NEVER respond to her comments because she loves Trump and I don't, this time I thought NO.  This is wrong.  So I asked her "can I have my opinion please?"  No response.  

I have to say that I actually feel lighter!  Happier!  Hopeful!  And I LOVE that I don't have to see that fat douchebag on T.V. twenty-four-seven!  Isn't it great!  No more Ivanka.  No more Jared.  No more Melania.  I LOVE IT!!  And they'll be GONE!  Completely gone after January 20th!  Trump is ALREADY irrelevant.  Have you noticed?  No one cares about what he has to say!  His power is gone!  AND HE HATES IT!

I also love that El Trumpo is having 24 hour meltdowns because he LOST.  The only thing that would make my year is to see him being carted out of the White House in a straight jacket crying like Jim Bakker.

Sadly, this election was not a repudiation of all things Trump and that is very sad.  And worse, the GOP is indulging his delusion about having the presidency stolen from him.  Filing bogus lawsuits and threatening to hold his breath until he turns blue.  But as of today, November 12, it seems like more of the GOP are calling him out and telling him "dude, it's over."  Not to mention Karl Rove (who I hate) but he's come forward and stated that the election is not going to be overturned.  

Trump has been M.I.A. except for his appearance at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Veterans Day.  But I fear he is going to do everything in his power to fuck things up for Biden.  He fired Mark Esper and now wants to fire Gina Haspell, Director of the CIA.  He's placed three loyalist morons to the Pentagon.  Who knows what he has planned.  He won't give Biden his congratulatory emails from world leaders and he is holding up the transition because HE CAN.    

Interestingly, I have been watching a lot of FOX lately just to see how they spin all this election crap.  And boy do they spin.  They do LIE, INFER, say things like "lots of democrats have done really bad stuff and it's illegal and now they want to make America Socialist and do away with Christmas."  This is not a joke -- they really say shit like this.  They speak just like Trump.  Remember when Trump said he had "his people in Hawaii and you won't believe what they're finding out about Obama!"  And then, we never found out what they were finding out.  And FOX just throws it out there like raw meat to whomever will bite and run with it, and then they tell a friend, and they tell a friend, and so on and so on.  This is how FOX undermines half the population who do not realize they've been manipulated and used.  

I am convinced that the only way things can change is if more and more democrats will go on FOX.  FOX's audience needs to hear from the democrats in order to realize that they are not Satan incarnate.  I caught Mayor Pete on FOX and he is so damn articulate and well spoken and I'm certain that the FOX audience were probably doing a Scooby-Doo after watching him.

But seriously folks.  It's not funny.  The only way that the right wing crazies, those who really believe that the democrats run a pedofile and sex trafficking ring will realize that democrats are NOT socialists, communists, anti-Xmas, and hate America.  This is something I hear on FOX ALL. THE. TIME.  That Democrats hate America.  SMH.  Someone needs to get into Rupert Murdoch's ear.  I mean that guy is seconds from death.  He still has time to undo the damage he has done with the creation of FOX news and all the lies and misinformation it has spread.  And just for an interesting aside, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham are now telling their audience not to use Facebook anymore because they are calling out errors and untruths, and instead to use Parlor, which is a social network that does not flag lies or untruths.  In other words, spread the lies.  SIGH.

But since I don't have that kind of power I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out.  For now, I AM VERY HAPPY.  

THE ELECTION ...

I AM SO AFRAID TRUMP IS GOING TO WIN AGAIN. Almost EVERYONE I know is voting for him. Some don't like him, but they're voting for him anyway. I don't get it. If Trump were a democrat, I wouldn't vote for him. My soul would not allow me to. My husband says that people vote with their pocket books. I get it. BUT STILL. I cannot support a man who has no character. No empathy. No brains. No compassion. Basically, an empty vessel of nothing.

I AM SO SCARED.  I know the polls are favoring Joe Biden, but it's close.  TOO CLOSE.  And with Trump having no scruples at all, he will do his best to sow dissention and confusion, distrust and anger and with that, violence.  I have never prayed with regard to politics before.  But I have PRAYED so hard that Trump does not win re-election.  

My husband and I are on the cusp of retirement.  We've planned pretty well.  But our future will greatly depend on Social Security and healthcare.  To be honest, my life has never really changed whether there was a democrat or a republican in office.  It's the character of Trump I can no longer tolerate.  He has made us a laughing stock.  The rest of the leaders in the world, minus the dictators, think he's an asshole.  

If he wins another four years I will be very sad.  When he won in 2016 I was depressed for months.  A malaise that I could not shake.  That has never happened to me before.  Bush wasn't the smartest guy in the room.  Reagan had Alzheimer's for the last four years of his presidency.  Clinton was a serial cheater and couldn't keep his dick in his pants.  And then we had Obama.  A real gent.  Good family man.  Decent.  I love him so much that I actually have dreams that Michelle and Barack are my friends. 

People don't realize that Trump is not the mogul he wants the world to think he is.  He basically runs a family company.  His two sons and his daughter work for him and then he had Michael Cohen and a few others.  It wasn't like he was running a gigantic corporation with thousands of employees.  That is why EVERYONE in New York was like WTF?! when he won.

If he wins another four years America will never be the same.  And if he doesn't win it will take YEARS for us to get back to some kind of normal where the insanity of his lies and propaganda can be forgotten.  The lies that FOX news tells and allow is unconscionable.  I saw Don, Jr. the other night stating that the Covid virus is over.  There's hardly any more cases when in fact, the virus is spiking BIGLY.  SMH.  

GOD HELP US if he wins.

POLICE BRUTALITY

Grab a cup of coffee because this is going to be a long one.

I grew up in the 1970's in the hood.  It wasn't really "the hood" to me, it was just my community, but on my block there were quite a few gang bangers and when you grow up with these kids from kindergarten on you don't see them as gang-bangers.  At least I didn't.  They were my neighbors and friends and kids I played with in the street.  We went to school together and when we reached junior high they went off on a different track, but they always remained my friends and neighbors.  

In my city, just east of east L.A., the sheriffs were our local law enforcement and they ruled our city.  The Pico sheriffs were infamous throughout town for being especially brutal.  They were bad and violent cops.  They terrorized the gang neighborhoods and would literally come blasting through someone's front door billy clubs swinging.  I witnessed police brutality ALL the time.  Our local sheriffs were basically gang-bangers with badges and guns.  

One night in 1974 after a football game I went to a house party with my little gaggle of friends.  We were just a bunch of high school kids hanging out listening to music.  There were adults there and so everyone was just chilling and talking and listening to music.   I'm sitting in the living room talking to my friends when literally the front door burst open and a whole slew of sheriffs wearing their helmets came bursting in swinging their billy clubs and literally started banging heads.  I know that most people will find this hard to believe, but I swear to you it's true.  I was trying to figure out what the hell was happening and then it became more and more chaotic.  The parents were sitting in the kitchen and immediately got up to see what all the ruckus was about and when they tried to talk to these cops to find out why they were in their house they hit both the mother and the father with their clubs.  It was TERRIBLE.  Kids were screaming and running everywhere.  I managed to make my way out the back door and ran to the front of the house where my friend was already in the car and we took off.  Once the police showed up at any party in Pico this was the way they usually behaved.  A freaking riot would ensue.  

I happened to live on a street with gang bangers as I previously stated.  Almost every weekend the Pico Sheriff's would show up, testosterone blazing and looking for some action.  They would bust into one of those houses and start beating the shit out of everyone.  It was like a regular thing.  During one of these melees  Maria, the mom, had been beaten in the head with a flashlight and had to have a ton of stitches and one of the younger kids was literally picked up and thrown against the wall and knocked out.  So while your neighbors are being brutalized by the cops what do you do?  Call the cops?  NO.  You did nothing.  This happened ALL THE TIME.    

Years later after I had graduated from high school, I started dating one of those cops.  I was young, maybe 19 or 20, and he was much older and very handsome and he liked me.  I had literally zero experience in the dating world so this was a big deal to me.  This older guy was into me.  It was intoxicating and I was pretty enthralled with him.  Needless to say, the guys in the neighborhood were not happy about this.  

It didn't take long for me to find out what a sadistic prick he was.  Since he worked nights he would sometimes take me on ride-alongs.  It was kind of cool cruising around town in the squad car and going on various calls.  But I have to say that most of the time it was pretty boring just driving around all night.  There were different gang neighborhoods that I of course knew of and one night he decided to cruise into one of them.  He was driving down an alley and the next thing I know he's flooring it and we are flying down this alley when he comes to a screeching stop and tells me to stay in the car.  He runs down the alley and I lose sight of him.  When he comes back he has this kid with him who was completely bloody and pretty messed up.  He'd beaten this little 14 year old for smoking pot in the alley.  I could not believe what I was witnessing.  I became very quiet.  This really bothered me.  I thought what he'd done was unjustified and didn't warrant a beating like that.  But Mr. Cop felt completely justified which I found appalling.  

I remained quiet until he finally asked me if what he'd done had bothered me.  I told him that it did.  That kid was only getting high, not raping someone.  He did not deserve to have is head bashed in with a flashlight.  Mr. Cop tried to convince me of what it was like in the streets, how bad these guys were, blah blah blah, but I kept what I'd witnessed in my heart.  I knew what he did was wrong.  Unwarranted.  And it bothered me deeply.

Yet, I continued to see him.  

It was only a matter of time before I became tired of his lies.  He would lie about everything.  He once told me this really elaborate story about his time in Vietnam and I have to say that at the time I was enthralled.  You see he was so much older than me and I found him so experienced and interesting.  I looked at him as a man.  He had a life full of experiences which I found fascinating.  Well, as it turned out, he never went to Vietnam.  I found this out one afternoon while I was hanging out at his apartment with all of his cop buddies and they were trading stories of their experiences in Vietnam when one of his friends asked him where he was in Nam and Mr. Cop said he didn't go to Vietnam.  I remember looking at him eyes wide and full of shock!  I was so taken aback by his blatant lie and yet I didn't have the courage to call him out and embarrass him in front of all his cop friends for the fucking elaborate story he'd told me just days before.  He obviously had some deep and serious insecurities.  

He LOVED being a cop.  He had a roommate who was also a cop.  This guy was a tall white dude with curly blonde hair.  I didn't like him.  He came off as a racist pig to me which was ironic because his girlfriend was Mexican and attended the local high school.  Yeah.  He was 33 she was 16.  He was a smarmy bastard and was very well known by all the homies in Pico.  So was Mr. Cop.  These two got into a whole lot of trouble together.  They did many unlawful things which I witnessed.  Smoking pot and dating underage girls from the local high school.  Mr. Cop taught a criminology class and was literally banging all the chicks. Today?  They'd both be in prison.  

I'd had enough.  I could not be with anyone who could lie and cheat so easily.  

Eventually their crimes caught up with them.  White boy basically disappeared and was never heard from again.  Mr. Cop and his buddy ended up going on trial for falsifying evidence and lying about an arrest.  This was really big news that I read about every day in the L.A. Times.  Verdict?  Mr. Cop and his friend were thrown off the force in shame.  He's lucky he didn't serve any time.  

Years later I would run into him.  He was reduced to working the door at nightclubs.  He was the guy you handed your I.D. to.  I never spoke to him, I never looked at him.  I'd just handed him my I.D. and made my way into the club.  He eventually became engaged to my ex-best friend.  Yeah, he was banging her too while he was dating me.  Long story short, she dated this loser for 10 years until he finally married her.  They would break up and get back together and break up and get back together. One of those kind of relationships.   And seriously ... who dates someone for TEN YEARS? 

After this experience, I stayed away from cops.  Didn't trust them.  Didn't like them.  And I knew enough of them to be able to say that they pretty much were all the same.  Deplorable, arrogant and shameless.

Fast forward to 2011 and my new job at the Los Angeles Police Protective League.  I'd been unemployed for two years after the 2008 crash and these folks wanted to hire me.  I took the job even though it paid me nothing and had no 401K.  I was desperate.

Working for the police was very difficult for me.  It was one of the most disheartening experiences of my life.  I was not a fan of police, but after working there for a year and a half, I DESPISED them.  For these men you're either with them or not.  You're either a criminal or a decent citizen.  There is no in-between with this people.  It's black or white, NO GREY EVER.  They make excuses for their brutality and they sexually harass ALL THE TIME.  One director had been brought up on sexual harassment charges multiple times and NOTHING ever happened to him.  He was still there working as a director for the League.  They had no moral compass and many were openly racist.  I had to sign a nondisclosure agreement in order to work there.  A few months in, I knew why.  There was so much unethical behavior going on there it was mind-boggling.  Back stabbing, gossiping and ruining reputations of state and local politicians (who are also equally morally corrupt).  I could write a book on what I witnessed there and again, no one would probably believe me.  What I can say is that this police union will go to the mat for their cops.  It doesn't matter what they are accused of.  I have never witnessed such a powerful group defend and make excuses for crimes committed by their police.  It was quite an experience.  I know there are plenty of people who would call me a liar, or worse, but I can tell you that what I witnessed happened.  One officer had a picture of Obama as a monkey on his office door.  I found that beyond appalling but I was in THEIR world and I KNEW I had to keep my opinion to myself.  HORRIBLE.  

So, that's my two cents.  It's true.  It happened.  So when I see Trump's commercials trying to scare people into believing that when they call the cops in the future if Biden wins the presidency and the cops won't be able to answer your call because of lack of funds I just laugh.  In my neighborhood when you'd call  the cops they NEVER came.  EVER.

Who is surprised by this?  I knew he'd get out.  And Flynn will NEVER see a day in prison.  And Trump will never be prosecuted for ALL of his crimes.  NEVER.  I wish he would, but he probably won't.  The rich, the elite ... they never pay for their crimes and misdeeds.  The little people pay.  You don't want to pay your taxes?  GO TO JAIL.  You don't want to pay your traffic tickets?  GO TO JAIL.  It just is what it is.  Why get angry?  It serves nothing.  It only gives you gray hairs and wrinkles.

I have felt anger and indignation until I can't feel anymore.  I'm done.  Let them all run wild, get out of jail, commit crimes to their heart's content and get away with it.  Let them laugh all the way to the bank ... I don't give a shit anymore.  I have more important things in my own personal life to worry about.

Let’s say I am the Court:  “UM … Mr. Madoff, you didn’t have any compassion for all the innocent people that you stole from and left penniless.  So NO.  I now have no compassion for you.  DIE IN PRISON where you belong you slime bag.  Your suffering is just.  Deal with it like a man.  I only hope I can one day see Trump and Mitch McConnell in your shoes.

A man who I rarely agreed with but who now has my undying respect.  The FIRST, the ONLY Christian to actually make a vote based on conscience and the values of right and wrong.  The ONLY Republican of conviction.  And you KNOW he's going to take a ton of heat over this but I have nothing but admiration for him because he did the unpopular thing.  He voted to convict a lying, dishonorable and criminal man and he made this decision based on his faith and the oath he took.  Good for you Mitt.  History will remember you admirably for your courage.

As for Bernie and Rush ... Karma's a bitch.  Every dog has it's day.  Time to pay the piper.  It's nice to see that there is justice.
